One of the first things you will experience when entering your console and accessing your keyword data, is the visibility graph, displaying at the top of the screen, displaying a so-called visibility score. A visibility score is a core SEO performance metric, that allows you by a simple glance to measure your overall ranking visibility in search engines. At SERPREME.IO, we calculate your visibility score based on the rankings of your keywords and the visibility these keywords provide, based upon the monthly search volume on the specific keywords. We use overall CTR-studies to calculate the number of clicks, we expect a certain position will receive in the organic rankings. We then take that percentage out of the total search volume for the current keyword. We do this calculation for all of your keywords.
We differentiate between desktop and mobile rankings, as CTR-studies shows great differences in click through rates for mobile and desktop results, hence using same calculation for both results would yield lesser precession in our forecasts. The visibility graph is calculated solely on top 20 rankings. Lower rankings scores lower scores and high-ranking keywords score a higher score. However ranking high on keywords with low search volume, will of course yield a lesser score than a high ranking keyword with a huge search volume. This means that lesser rankings on keywords with much volume, can result in a higher visibility score than top rankings on lesser prominent keywords, with less volume.
